[Movies] Matt Damon Says He Loved Being Spoofed in Team America: World Police
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.06.2014

If you remember Matt Parker and Trey Stone's puppet action-comedy Team America: World Police, you certainly remember the portrayal of Matt Damon as a blithering idiot who could only scream his name. Matt Damon certainly remembers it and said during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) that he loved it.

Damon said, "I thought it was brilliant! I mean, I never understood it, and then I heard an interview with them and they said the puppet came in looking kind of mentally deficient and they didn't have time to change it, so they just made me someone who could really only say his own name. All the comedy they're doing is really next-level stuff. Also, I liked being included as a person who was against the Iraq war."
