[Movies] John Travolta Set to Star in Gummibar Animated Movie

ComingSoon.net reports that John Travolta will play Gummy Bear, or Gummibar as the property is known in the US, in an animated big screen feature, per the Stealth Media Group. The film is being produced by Oscar Generale in Los Angeles, Jonathan Vanger of Transfilm in Canada, and Spice Factory in the UK.

The producers are currently in talks with animation studios in Montreal, China, and Korea and are speaking to directors for the project. The project is budgeted at $30 million and is set to begin production on September 29.

The film is written by George Gallo (Bad Boys) and follows Gummy and his friends in a fight to save an alien planet from destruction.
