[Movies] Avengers: Age of Ultron Confirms Cast List, South Korean Shoot
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.18.2014

Marvel Studios has officially confirmed previous reports that they will be shooting for Avengers: Age of Ultron in Seoul, South Korea. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed the news, along with revealing that the film will shoot in Aosta Valley, Italy.

The studio has also officially confirmed that the whole of the superhero cast from the first movie will be back. The complete, confirmed cast list is now Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and James Spader. As we've reported, Thomas Kretschmann is reportedly set to play Baron Struecker and Paul Bettany is playing Vision, but neither of those have been officially confirmed. Colbie Smulders has previously been reported to return as Maria Hill.

Feige said, "South Korea is the perfect location for a movie of this magnitude because it features cutting-edge technology, beautiful landscapes and spectacular architecture. We would especially like to thank the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) for making it possible for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' to come to Korea."

South Korean minister of Culture, Sports & Tourism Yoo Jinryong added, "We're very excited to have the production in Korea, and also expect this to serve as the footstep of many more opportunities yet to come."

The film releases on May 1st, 2015.
