[TV] Leads Cast For Supernatural Spin-Off
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.20.2014

The CW is keeping it in the family for one of the lead roles for its Supernatural spin-off. Zap2It reports that Nathaniel Buzolic, who played fan-favorite Kol on The Vampire Diaries will be play of the two lead roles on Supernatural: Tribes. Buzolic will play David Hayden, a shapeshifter from one of the mafia-esque ruling monster families of Chicago. David has been trying to live as a human, having turned his back on the monster life years ago.

The other lead role will be played by Lucien Laviscount, who previously was on Skins. Laviscount will play Ennis Roth, a police academy trainee whose fiancée is killed as a casualty of the monster war. That tragedy leads him to the truth about the monsters hidden in the shadows, and he becomes a monster-hunter himself, bent on revenge.

The show will focus on the various monster family lines that rule the dark supernatural world of Chicago. The families are being tracked by a new hunter who's trying to stop them and rid Chicago of all things supernatural. David and Ennis will appear in the twentieth episode of the main show this season as a planted pilot for the series.
