[VIDEO] Check Out the Trailer For Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues Super-Sized Rated R Version
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.21.2014

Paramount has released a trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues: Super-Sized R-Rated Version, along with a clip with a new scene. The movie will return to theaters for one week only on February 28. There had been rumors of a re-release last fall when writer/director Adam McKay and editor Brent White spoke in the editing bay of a different cut of the film possibly being released.

Coming Soon reports that when the first Anchorman was in post-production, the two found they had so many deleted scenes, alternate jokes and outtakes from the improvisational brand of humor that they were able to make a "sequel" to the film called Wake Up, Ron Burgundy. It was previously only available as a Best Buy exclusive DVD set and was later released as a blu-ray special feature..

McKay said: "This time I came to the editing room and I went, 'Well, Brent, do we have a second movie?' Brent goes, 'Actually, you don't have a second movie, but you have a whole other movie with all-new jokes.' I go, 'What do you mean?' He goes, 'You can replace every single joke with a different one.' They're all quality alts... If you saw the movie and then they said, 'Hey, come back and see 'Anchorman 2' again with 240 new jokes, would you pay cash and go see the movie again? ...The advantage you get is that these jokes don't have to pass by an audience and you get some stranger jokes."

The trailer claims the movie has 763 new jokes.
