[TV] A&E To Air Live After Show For Bates Motel
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.24.2014

Coming Soon reports that A&E Network has announced a live half-hour special called Bates Motel: After Hours, which allows fans to interact with the stars and creators with "behind-the-scenes analysis and exclusive content."

Stars Vera Farmiga (Norma Bates), Freddie Highmore (Norman Bates), Max Thieriot (Dylan Massett) and executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin will talk about the first episode and answer fan questions about season two. It will air before a live studio audience in New york on March 3 at 11 PM ET/PT after the series premiere of Those Who Kill at 10 PM and the season premiere of Bates Motel at 9 PM ET/PT.

Here's a synopsis: "Bates Motel" is a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film Psycho, and gives viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates' (Freddie Highmore) psyche unravels through his teenage years. Fans discover the dark, twisted backstory of Norman Bates and how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga), truly is.

The season one premiere had 3 million viewers and 1.6 million in the adults 25-54 and 18-49 demographics. It is the most-watched original drama in those demographics in A&E history.

The After Hours show is produced by Embassy Row, with Michael Davies executive producing. Bates Motel is produced by Universal Television and executive produced by Carlton Cuse (Carlton Cuse Productions) and Kerry Ehrin (Kerry Ehrin Productions).
