[TV] The Arsenio Hall Show Renewed For Second Season
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.27.2014

Coming Soon reports that CBS Television Distribution has renewed The Arsenio Hall Show for a second season. CTD President of Sales Joe DiSalvo announced the renewal today. Tribune Broadcasting, a partner in production of the show, will be the anchor station group. It airs the late-night talk show on seventeen stations including the three largest markets: WPIX, New York, at 11 PM; KTLA, Los Angeles, at 11 PM; and WGN, Chicago, at 10 PM.

The series debuted on September 9 of last year. It's viewed weekly by 6.7 million people. The median age is 50.1, the youngest on late-night talk shows so far.

DiSalvo said: "We are thrilled that 'Arsenio' will be returning for a second season. We knew Arsenio had a built-in fan base, but he's also reaching a new generation. This season, 'Arsenio' has been the youngest late-night talk show on broadcast television and has given our station partners a real alternative for their late-night lineups."

Hall added: "Since 9/9/13, I've been waking up without an alarm clock. Producing and hosting my late-night talk show brings me great joy. I'm back where I belong! Thanks to my partners at CBS Television Distribution and Tribune."

Sean Compton, President of Strategic Programming and Acquisitions for Tribune Company, said: "Arsenio is an incredibly talented host who has connected with his viewers; we look forward to watching the show grow and develop in year two."

The show also airs on stations in the Sinclair Broadcast Group, CBS TV Stations, Cox TV station, LIN Television and Post-Newsweek Stations station groups. It is produced by CBS TV Distribution, Arsenio Hall Communications Ltd. and Octagon Entertainment Productions. Arsenio Hall and John Ferriter are the executive producers.
