[TV] From Dusk To Dawn: The Series Premiere to Be Screened Next Month
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.28.2014

The El Rey Network and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema have announced that the premiere of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series will screen in nine theaters on March 11th. The screening will be timed with its debut on El Ray at 9 PM ET/PT and will include a Q&A with Robert Rodriguez and the cast following the premiere and screenings. The Q&A is behind held at the Austin theater and will be streamed to the other eight theaters, as well as the El Rey Network YouTube channel.

The theaters in question are the Alamo Drafthouse-owned screens in the following cities:

* Austin, TX
* Houston, TX
* San Antonio, TX
* New Braunfels, TX
* Kansas City, MO
* Littleton, CO
* Yonkers, NY
* Winchester, PA
* Ashburn, PA

The series, like the original film, centers on bank robber Seth Gecko (D.J. Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard "Richie" Gecko (Zane Holtz), who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw (Don Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Jesse Garcia) after a bank heist leaves several people dead. While on the run to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter former pastor Jacob Fuller (Robert Patrick) and his family, whom they take hostage. Using the family RV to cross the border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club that is populated by vampires. They are forced to fight until dawn in order to get out alive. The series deepens the tone and expands the storyline of the film, adds new characters and backstories, and explores the Mesoamerican mythology behind the creatures inside the club.
