[Movies] Natalie Portman Gives Her Thoughts on Star Wars: Episode VII Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 03.01.2014
"I can't believe I'm not going to be in the new movie."
In an interview with MoviePilot.com for the Blu-ray/DVD release of Thor: The Dark World, actress Natalie Portman gave her thoughts on Star Wars: Episode VII. According to Portman, she told director J.J. Abrams that she was bummed out that her character, Padme Amidala, the mother of Luke and Leia Skywalker, died in the prequel trilogy and won't appear in the new movies.
Portman stated, "I am so excited about them. I think J.J. Abrams is such a talent and I can't wait to see what he does. I am only sorry that my character died, which means I can't be in them. I saw him somewhere and I said, 'How did this happen? I can't believe I'm not going to be in the new movie.'"
