[Gossip] John Travolta Upset At His Mistake At The Academy Awards
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.04.2014

Today reports that John Travolta has released a statement through his publicist about his flub at the Academy Awards. He introduced Idina Menzel as "Adela Dazeem" when she was set to perform her Academy Award-winning song "Let It Go", from Disney's Frozen.

He said: "I've been beating myself up all day. Then I thought ... what would Idina Menzel say, She'd say, Let it go, let it go! Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!"

After the flub happened, a Twitter account was set up for the name. Another person heard Adele Nazim and made an account for that. Twitter viewers had various theories about why it might have happened, ranging from dyslexia to the teleprompter messing up. Slate posted up a program that lets users "Travoltify" their names. The late night hosts also made fun of it.

Meanwhile, Menzel has not commented. She only expressed her joy at winning on Twitter.
