[TV] NBC Allegedly Not Allowing Celebrities To Appear On The Tonight Show if They Appear on Other Talk Shows
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.06.2014

TMZ reports that NBC has an ultimatum for celebrities: if you appear on a talk show for CBS or ABC, you won't get to appear on The Tonight Show. NBC believes that Jimmy Fallon's success in the rating gives them leverage in negotiating with celebrities, agents and publicists.

This not only applies to the shows that go head-to-head with Fallon, but also morning shows. They are only allowed to appear on shows that NBC airs like Today or Dateline.

A source from Good Morning America says they've had fallout from those they were trying to book. Fallon is currently bringing in twice the viewers as Jimmy Kimmel and is #1 in late night talk ratings.
