[TV] Patrick Sabongui Joins the Cast Of The Flash
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.07.2014

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Patrick Sabongui (Almost Human, The Tomorrow People, Psych, Fringe and Stargate: Atlantis) has been cast as Central City Police Captain David Singh in The CW's The Flash. If the pilot gets a series order, it could be a recurring role.

The series follows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who visits Starling City to look at unexplained robberies that may be tied to his past. After a freak accident he is given the power of super speed and becomes the fastest man alive. The cast also includes John Wesley Shipp (Barry Allen in the 1990s series), Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells (physics "rock star"), Jesse L. Martin as Detective West, Candice Patton as West's daughter and Barry's love interest Iris, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow (a bioengineering expert), Carlos Valdes as mechanical engineering expert Cisco Ramon and Rick Cosnett as Detective Eddie Thawne.

Greg Berlanti (Arrow), Andrew Kreisberg and director David Nutter will be the executive producers for the spinoff. Berlanti, Kreisberg and DC Entertainment's Geoff Johns will write the script for the pilot, which Nutter will direct. Melissa Kellner Berman is a co-executive producer.
