[TV] Comedy Central Extends Season Four Of Key & Peele
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.12.2014

Coming Soon reports that Comedy Central has extended Key & Peele season four. They've also reached a development deal with Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele to create an animated series based on their Critiquer's Corner "Vandaveon & Mike" characters.

The series was created by stars Key and Peele and is executive produced by Key, Peele, Jay Martel, Ian Roberts and Joel Zadak. Gary Mann and Tara Schuster the executive producers for Comedy Central. The extension brings season four to 22 episodes (20 originals, two "best of" episodes). The animated series is their "Vandaveon & Mike" characters as 12 year-old hall monitors in middle school.

Kent Alterman, President of Content Development and Original Programming for Comedy Central, said: "Keegan and Jordan keep generating such a limitless supply of funny, inventive sketches, I'm starting to think they are not only 1/2 black and 1/2 white, but also 3/4 alien."

The third season ended in December and averaged two million viewers each week. It was ranked #1 in cable for its timeslot (Wednesdays at 10:30 PM) with men 18-34 and in the top five with adults 18-49.
