[Movies] Rose McIver To Star In The CW's iZombie

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rose McIver (Petals on the Wind, Once Upon A Time, Masters of Sex, The Lovely Bones, Brightest Star) is set to play the lead role in the CW's iZombie, which comes from Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars).

The series is based on the DC Comics release of the same name. It follows a medical student named Liv (McIver) who becomes a zombie and takes a job in the Coroner's Office to get brains. She has to eat the brains in order to keep her humanty. Every time she eats a brain, she gets the corpse's memories. She solves homicide cases to stop the voices in her head with help from her medical examiner boss and a police detective.

Thomas and Diane Ruggiero will write the script and executive produce with Danielle Stokdyk and Dan Etheridge. Thomas will direct the pilot. The series comes from Rob Thomas Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The pilot will film in Vancouver and also stars Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill), Malcolm Goodwin, Alexandra Krosney and David Anders. The DC Comic was created by Chris Robertson and Michael Allred.
