[Movies] JK Simmons in Talks to Join Cast of Terminator: Genesis
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 03.13.2014

THR reports that actor JK Simmons is in negotiations to join the cast of the upcoming Terminator: Genesis movie for director Alan Taylor. Simmons would reportedly play a "weary and alcoholic detective who has followed a bizarre case involving Sarah Connor and robots for more than three decades."

The reboot cast currently includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jai Courtney playing Kyle Reese, Jason Clarke as John Connor, and Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor. The reboot will reportedly thread ideas from the previous movies to relaunch the story.

Simmons' potential character in the film has also been following the case from the first movie since 1984.

The new film is due out on July 1, 2015.
