[Movies] Screenwriter Thinks Captain America 3 Won't Face Off With Batman vs. Superman Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 03.14.2014
One of them will move...
While Kevin Feige has previously said that Captain America 3 won't budge from its planned release date opposite Batman vs. Superman, the writer for the Cap films thinks one of the two will move. Christopher Markus told THR that he believes that one of the two films, which are both slated for May 6th, 2016, will change their release date. As previously reported, Warner Bros. moved the Man of Steel sequel to the date after Marvel had already staked it out. Check out highlights from the interview:
On the two films having the same release date: "I think when two cars drive at each other, somebody has to veer off eventually... There's always a level of expectation and Marvel keeps raising the bar higher and higher. But you have confidence that they're going to make a good movie, you kind of let yourself go and allow yourself to be directed. And you really just become one small piece of the Marvel puzzle."
On the status of Captain America 3: "We've had many, many conversations, and pretty much know where we're going."
