[Movies] Trailer Released For The Drop
Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.01.2014

Fox Searchlight Pictures has released a trailer for Michael R. Roskam's The Drop, the final film of James Gandolfini. The film also stars Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Matthias Schoenaerts, John Ortiz, Ann Dowd and James Frecheville. Roskam directed with a script by Dennis Lehane. It will be out on September 19.

Here's a synopsis: Formerly titled Animal Rescue, The Drop takes an inside look at organized crime's use of local New York City bars as money-laundering "drops." When lonely Brooklyn bartender Bob Saginowski (Hardy) uncovers a drop of a different sort in the form of a battered pit bull puppy that he rescues from certain death, he comes into contact with Nadia (Rapace), a mysterious woman hiding a dark past.
