[Movies] Extras Wanted For Batman vs. Superman Shoot In Detroit
Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.02.2014

CBS Detroit reports that Warner Bros will hold a casting call for extras for Batman vs Superman, which will begin filming later this year in Michigan. The casting call takes place on April 27 from 11 AM until 3 PM at the Somerset Inn on West Big Beaver Road in Troy. Casting directors are looking for men and women at least eighteen years old who are "clean-cut military and law enforcement types or business executives in suits."

Actors should be dressed appropriately, but shouldn't wear a costume. They should also bring a pen to fill out an application. Headshots will be taken for free. Those applying have to be available to work during the week both indoors or outside between June and November. There will be no children allowed at the call. Parents who want to submit their children (age 9-15) for consideration will be allowed to bring a small and recent picture, similar to one taken at school.

Troy Somerset Inn is on 2601 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy MI 48084. Those applying have to park in the lot on Big Beaver Road and use the North Entrance. Batman vs Superman will be released on May 6, 2016. It stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.

According to Michelle Grinnell, public relations manager for the Michigan Film Office, this is the largest film ever shot in Michigan and has a budget of $131 million. Production will create hundreds of jobs for crew members and 6,000 jobs for extras.
