[Movies] Lynn Collins, John Leguizamo and Jim Belushi Join Cast of The Man on Carrion Road
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 04.03.2014

Atlas Independent announced today via an official press release that John Leguizamo, Lynn Collins, and Jim Belushi have joined the cast of The Man on Carrion Road. They join Patrick Wilson and Ian McShane in the film, which will be directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego from a script by Nils Lyew.

Below is an official synopsis for the film:

"The Man on Carrion Road tells the visceral story of a botched Mexican cartel deal in the back roads of a border town. The town's new sheriff (Wilson) must team up with the retired lawman (McShane) he replaced to investigate the source of the deal in order to stop a mysterious cartel butcher (Leguizamo) and his systematic brutalization of the town's residents. A gritty and modern thriller, The Man on Carrion Road collides head on with the pathos and hard realities that inhabit life along the border; it's a story that explores the ambitions, difficulties and consequences that turn men into monsters and monsters into reality."

The project is being produced by William Green, Aaron Ginsburg and Andy Horwitz of Atlas Independent. The film is being financed by MICA Entertainment, and Relativity International is handling the overseas distribution. The film is slated to start production on April 14.
