[Movies] Salma Hayek Lending Vocal Talents to Sausage Party

Deadline reports that Salma Hayek has joined the voice cast for the new Sony animated comedy Sausage Party. The film is being directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan.

Hayek will be voicing a taco named Teresa opposite Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton, Michael Cera, Nick Kroll and David Krumholtz. The story follows a sausage's quest to discover the truth of his existence. After falling out of a shopping cart, the sausage and his friends go on a journey through the supermarket to get back to their aisles before a July 4 sale.

The script was written by Rogen and Evan Goldberg with Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir. Annapurna's Megan Ellison is producing the film with Rogen and Goldberg's Point Grey Pictures with Vernon. James Weaver of Point Grey is executive producing the film with Hill, Hunter, and Shaffir.
