{Movies] The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Wins Big at MTV Movie Awards
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.14.2014

It was all about District 12 and the Quarter Quell at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire won big with three awards, taking home wins for Movie of the Year, Best Male Performance (Josh Hutcherson) and Best Female Performance (Jennifer Lawrence). This gives the franchise another spot where it is following in Twilight's footsteps (although with surer steps), as that franchise has dominated the awards show for the past several years. Don't think it'll end with Hunger Games though. A pre-emptive heir apparent was chosen tonight in Shailene Woodley's Tris from Divergent, who topped Katness for Favorite Character.

Also picking up multiple awards was We're the Millers, which won for Best Kiss in the three-way "instructional" moment between Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston & Will Poulter, and Breakthrough Performance for Poulter. The Wolf of Wall Street won #WTF Moment for the scene in which Leonard DiCaprio tries to get to his car while on ludes, as well as Best Comic Performance for Jonah Hill. Check out the full list of winners below:
