Game of Thrones Stays Strong With 6.3 Million Viewers

The show keeps on trucking...
It's standard form for a hot series to have a highly-watched season premiere that then starts to fade away (which is why the low numbers for Mad Men are so concerning). But that wasn't the case for HBO's Game of Thrones this week. TV By The Numbers reports that Sunday's episode of the series, "The Lion and the Rose," drew 6.3 million viewers.
That number, for the record, is down only 4.5% from last week's 6.6 million viewers. It's a strong hold from week to week for the show and based on the highly level of discussion that has gone on in regard to last night's episode (don't worry, we're staying spoiler-free here in the article), it is likely to have a good hold next week as well.
