Hans Zimmer Returning For Batman vs. Superman Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.15.2014
He revealed the news himself...
Don't expect Hans Zimmer to leave the world of DC Comics just yet. In an interview with Digital Spy, the composer revealed that he will indeed be back to score Batman vs Superman after Zack Snyder asked him personally. Zimmer has experience scoring both Batman and Superman, as he provided the music for Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and Man of Steel, which starred Henry Cavill. He will begin work on the superhero mash-up once he finishes work on Nolan's Interstellar.
He said: "We've already had a couple of chats, and once I finish the movie that I shall not talk about I will probably head over to where Zack is shooting his movie and just hang out a bit and see if we can come up with any ideas."
When asked if he would come up with a new theme for Batman (played by Ben Affleck this time), he replied: "That's my problem, that's my dilemma. I don't want to betray, if that's the right word, the Dark Knight movies. That was Christian, it was Christian's role. It's not just that it was nine years of our lives, so you want to stay honest and honourable to that period. So it's really about, 'Is there something else I can find that I haven't tapped into?' Which I don't know until I sit down with Zack."
