Actor Matthew Lawrence Happy to Return For Mrs. Doubtfire 2
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.17.2014

While most of the internet was letting out a collective groan at the idea of a second Mrs. Doubtfire film, one of the cast members of the original is happy to come on board. As previously reported, Robin Williams and director Chris Columbus are both set to come back for the follow-up to the 1993 comedy and TMZ got a word with actor Matthew Lawrence, who played son Chris in the original and said that he's excited to come back.

Lawrence told the site, "Of course I would be on board. I hope they make the second as good as the first. The first was so good."

One person who wasn't as excited is Mara Wilson, who played youngest daughter Nattie in the film. She took to Twitter and Facebook, saying, "For the record, no, I do not have anything to do with the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel, nor will I."

Lawrence said he didn't know why Wilson was against the film but said he can't wait to work with Sally Field again and added, "It will be great to get the family back together."
