She doesn't do sequels...
As previously reported, Mara Wilson has expressed her disinterest in being in the freshly-announced Mrs. Doubtfire sequel. Wilson, who played daughter Nattie in the film, took to Twitter to explain why she doesn't desire to be in the film. She noted that she doesn't do sequels and feels that the first film "ended where it needed to end."
When asked by a fan why she would turn down a "turn down a multi million dollar payday," Wilson (who is now twenty-six and a blogger) said, "A) It wouldn't be that much, 2) I have some standards." You can see her Twitter posts on the topic below.
Chris Columbus is returning to direct the film, with Robin Williams reprising his starring role. Matthew Lawrence, who played son Chris, has expressed interest in returning.
I've been in some mediocre movies, but I've never been in a sequel. And I have no interest in being in one now.
