Marc Webb Says J. Jonah Jameson Could Show Up in Amazing Spider-Man 3
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.21.2014

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn't even out yet in the US and Marc Webb is already teasing things for the third film. The director for the franchise recently participated in a Google+ Hangout and teased the idea that Spidey's greatest non-supervillain nemesis, J. Jonah Jameson, could appear in the third film. The Daily Bugle editor-in-chief has not yet been seen in the Andrew Garfield-starring continuity, much to some fans' consternation.

When asked about the character, Webb said, "I like the idea very much of him coming up in the next film. It was more easy to accept a new Spider-Man than someone who could out do J.K. Simmons in that role, he is so iconic. That's something we've really talked about. Obviously I love that character because he poses such an interesting dilemma for Spider-Man. The answer is I don't know, but I think you can expect to see him in the future."

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 releases on June 10th, 2016. The second film opens in the US on May 2nd. You can see the Hangout interview below.
