Disney To Make A Film Based On It's A Small World Ride
Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.23.2014

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the Disney ride It's A Small World, and Disney decided to celebrate by announcing a feature film based on the attraction. One thing's for sure, the theme song is going to be annoyingly catchy.

Jon Turteltaub (Last Vegas, National Treasure) will direct based on a script by Jared Stern, who pitched the idea. Dan Lin (The Lego Movie) will produce with Turteltaub and Stern. Disney is looking to make a franchise out of the idea.

This isn't the first ride-based movie Disney has made, as both Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion were both rides first. Let's hope It's A Small World is more like the former.
