Based on the upcoming game...
Deadline reports that Zombieland writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are set to write the adaptation of Ubisoft's Watch Dogs. Sony and New Regency are also production the film.
Here's a synopsis of the game: "Hacking is your weapon. Control the city of Chicago. Become Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker but also a former thug, whose criminal past lead to a violent family tragedy. While on the hunt for those responsible, you will be able to tap into the city's omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control systems such as traffic lights and the electrical grid to stop a chase, and more. Now the city of Chicago has become your ultimate weapon to exact your own style of revenge."
The two are also working on Epsilon for Sony, which Greg Berlanti will direct and Michael De Luca will produce. This is the third collaboration between New Regency and Unbisoft. Tom Hardy will star in Splinter Cell (directed by Doug Liman) and Michael Fassbender will star in Assassin's Creed, which currently doesn't have a director.
