Community Releases Parody Posters For Potential Sixth Season
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.25.2014

Community ended its fifth season last week and as is always the case for the beloved yet low-rated show, its renewal status is in doubt. NBC has yet to announce a decision for the show and likely won't before the network upfronts next month. Far be it from Sony and Community's creative team to be pessimistic though; they have released parody posters pushing a sixth season.

The posters mock the likes of The Social Network, The Fifth Element and Friday the 13th, pushing the famous #sixseasonsandamovie hashtag that became popular after Abed had a line alluding to that as the show's goal. The idea is to give NBC a reminder of how much the show means to people.

The Friday the 13th poster, as a side note, is a reference to the fact that NBC suddenly bumped the fourth season's premiere from an October 19th, 2012 date to an undetermined time without explanation. The public joke among the cast then became that whenever the show did actually premiere (which ended up as February 7th, 2013) would actually be October 19th.

We'll find out if Community will have more life on May 12th at the latest. Until then, enjoy the posters!
