Han Solo to Play 'Gigantic' Role in Star Wars: Episode VII?
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.28.2014

The further we get into production, the more rumors we're going to get. But this one comes from Deadline and they tend to be pretty reliable on these things, so take that as you will. The site reports that Harrison Ford's Han Solo plays a "gigantic" role in Star Wars: Episode VII, though no further details were listed.

The site also claims that Oscar Isaac (Drive, Inside Llewyn Davis) is up for a potential leading roll in the film, now joining Adam Driver, John Boyega and Maisie Richardson-Sellers as those reported to be in the running. Disney hasn't revealed or confirmed any characters or casting beyond the appearance of R2D2 yet, so stay tuned.

J.J. Abrams will direct the film, with Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Peter Mayhew all expected (but again, not confirmed) to reprise their characters from the previous films.
