Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.29.2014

The Wrap reports that Maya Rudolph (The Nut Job, Saturday Night Live) is set to voice a lead role in Disney's adaptation of Marvel's Big Hero 6. The film will be co-directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams for a November 7 release date.

Disney has yet to confirm any of the announced cast members. TJ Miller (Silicon Valley was rumored to voice Fredzilla while Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch) is up for a character named Go Go Tomago. Her casting was revealed after Big Hero 6 was listed by NBC.com on her credits in her bio for the show's series Believe.

Here's a synopsis: 'Big Hero 6' is a comedic action-adventure movie about brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion a robot named Baymax Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city.

It's expected to mostly feature young voice actors with a few recognizable names being added in the next few weeks and months.
