Sam Mendes Says Next Bond Film Will Be Skyfall Part Two
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.30.2014

Sam Mendes says that the twenty-fourth James Bond film will basically be a direct follow-up to Skyfall. Mendes, who is returning to direct the upcoming film, appeared on The Charlie Rose Show and explained that the new film will be him "creating the second part of a two-part story."

In the interview, which you can see below (sorry non-US people but it's Hulu), Mendes says that the film isn't a direct narrative connection, but does include returning characters from Skyfall who are older and changed by the events of the past film. He noted that it will finish "a number of stories that are left incomplete" by Skyfall.

He added that the twenty-fifth film will not be a direct continuation. He and writer John Logan are back for it too.
