SyFy Developing Series Based on Graphic Novel Pax Romana
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 04.30.2014

SyFy officially announced today that they will be developing a series based on Image Comics graphic novel Pax Romana, created by Jonathan Hickman.

The story follows a Special Forces team that goes back in time on the eve of World War III in order to "fix" the future by trying to alter the past. They go to Ancient Rome, where Roman legions battle modern day attack helicopters, tanks, and soldiers. The leaders of the expedition also fight over their vision for civilization.

Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia (Jericho, Warehouse 13) are attached to write the show. Creator Jonathan Hickman will be serving as co-executive producer. David Alpert of Circle of Confusion, Federman and Scaia are serving as executive producers of the show.
