TV Ratings: Grey's Anatomy Gets Highest Ratings In Two Months
Posted by Joseph Lee on 05.02.2014
On an otherwise slow night...
Dr. Burke (Isaiah Washington) returned to Grey's Anatomy last night, giving it its best rating in two months. The night overall was down, however. Black Box fell from its premiere and lost half of Grey's rating in the demographic. The Big Bang Theory was solid but the rest of the comedies fell, including Bad Teacher (down by over half a point in the demographic). Also down were American Idol and the iHeartRadio Music Awards (which had poor numbers). The Vampire Diaries and Reigns were flat in the main demographic but were up in the CW's under-35 demographic.
CBS won with 9.4 million viewers and a 6.0 rating/10 share in households. It was followed by ABC (6.1 million, 4.3/7) , NBC (5.45 million, 3.3/6), FOX (4.9 million, 3.0/5) and The CW (1.6 million, 1.1/2). In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS won again with a 2.2 rating, followed by NBC (1.7), ABC (1.6), FOX (1.4) and The CW (0.6).
