Halloween 3 Confirmed To Be In Pre-Production
Posted by Joseph Lee on 05.03.2014

Earlier this week, Bloody Disgusting reported that Halloween 3D, which has been in development hell for years, was finally getting off the ground. The website claimed that source at Cannes revealed that The Weinstein Company was once again interested in producing the property.

Now the official website for the Halloween franchise has confirmed a third movie is indeed in pre-production. The post reads: "As we stated before, we are dedicated to the fans of the Halloween series just as much as we are dedicated to delivering a film that we believe the fans deserve and will, most importantly, love. With that being said, we can confirm that a new installment of Halloween is indeed in on track and moving forward. We are currently developing a script, to finally bring Michael back to the theaters!"

It's unknown if a writer or director are on board, but Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier were previously working on a screenplay. It's also not known if the new film will be a sequel to Rob Zombie's take, another reboot or something else entirely like Texas Chainsaw 3D.

While the official website confirmed the development of the film, it did not confirm if it would be in 3D, as previously rumored.
