Mike Colter Joins The Cast Of Ridley Scott's Halo Digital Feature
Posted by Joseph Lee on 05.15.2014

The Wrap reports that Mike Colter (The Good Wife) will star in Sergio Mimica-Gezzan's Halo digital feature project. 343 Industries, Xbox Entertainment Studios and Scott Free Productions will produce with Ridley Scott and Scott Free TV president David Zucker executive producing. Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring wrote the feature, which will debut by the end of the year. It's a different project from the TV series that Steven Spielberg will produce for Xbox One.

The series will follow the same format as Machinima's Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. It is set in the 26th century and follows a surgically-enhanced super soldier. The solider will not be Master Chief. Colter will play Marlowe, a "rising star in a futuristic army who is troubled by aspects of the military industrial complex he inhabits. Approaching combat situations with caution and logic, he inspires loyalty in his fellow Spartans."

Microsoft will announce more details (including more of the cast) at E3 in June. The Halo brand has earned over $4 billion over the years, including the video game franchise.
