A period piece about a Hollywood fixer...
Ethan and Joel Coen have set their next film. Deadline reports that the Oscar-winning filmmaking duo will move ahead with the long-gestating Hail Caesar, about a man named Eddie Mannix who is a Hollywood fixer in the 1950s.
George Clooney was originally attached to star and there is no word on whether he remains on the project. The film has been in development for nearly a decade and Clooney once called it the final part of his "idiot trilogy" with the Coens that began with O Brother, Where Art Thou? and moved on to Intolerable Cruelty.
Hail Caesar was originally described as a film about a group of theater actors in the 1920s putting together a play about ancient Rome, so obviously plot details have changed significantly.
