Bitten Renewed For Second Season
Posted by Joseph Lee on 05.22.2014

Coming Soon reports that Canadian network Space has announced that they have renewed Bitten for a second season. More details about when the series will air in the US will come later. It's the channel's most-watched original series ever. The series was renewed for ten one-hour episodes. It is produced by No Equal Entertainment, Entertainment One Television, and Hoodwink Entertainment. Filming begins this summer on location in Toronto, Hamilton, and Hespeler. Canadian viewers can watch encore episodes Sundays at 11 PM ET after new episodes of Salem at 10 PM ET. The entire first season will encore on CTV this summer.

Phil King, President of CTV, Sports and Entertainment Programming, said: "BITTEN has been such an exciting addition to Space. When we signed on for Season 1 we knew it was a unique series and when fans and critics agreed with us, we knew we had a hit. Here's to another season of making great television with our terrific production partners."

JB Sugar, Executive Producer for No Equal Entertainment, added: "BITTEN has been such a rewarding and collaborative experience. We are looking forward to producing another fantastic season with partners at Bell Media, Entertainment One Television, and Hoodwink. The Pack is so ready and thankful for the opportunity to run again!"

Margaret O'Brien, President (Canada) of Entertainment One Television, said: "We're thrilled to be a part of the killer team bringing another season of BITTEN to the fans. This action-packed series has resonated extremely well with viewers and across social media. We look forward to building upon the success and excitement established in Season 1."

The film is based on the novels by Kelley Armstrong. It stars Laura Vandervoort (Smallville, Ted) as the world's only female werewolf Elena, along with Greg Bryk (A History Of Violence, Rookie Blue) as The Alpha pack leader Jeremy Danvers, Greyston Holt (Alcatraz, Durham County) as Clayton Danvers, Steve Lund (Being Erica, Haven) as Nick Sorrentino and Michael Xavier (The Best Years) as Dr. Logan Jonsen.
