The studio is getting the most out of the franchise...
Lionsgate only has two more Hunger Games films left and they're going to ride them for every dime they're worth. The studio announced today that they are partnering with Kabam Games for a card collection mobile game as well as a US tour of The Hunger Games: The Exhibition for summer 2015.
The exhibition will be aided by the location-based entertainment company Thinkwell Group and will include interactive displays as well as costumes and props.
Lionsgate CMO Tim Palen said in the announcement, "Now that we've built a critical mass of intellectual property, we're committed to extending our brands into exciting new businesses that create opportunities for our fans to engage with our properties at the same time they deliver significant incremental financial benefits to Lionsgate."
He added that Jenefer Brown has been promoted to the new job of senior VP of branded attractions and will "explore additional theme park attraction and other location-based entertainment opportunities around the world for ..the Company's entire portfolio of branded properties."
