Mark Ruffalo: 'A New Hulk Movie is Being Entertained'
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.17.2014

Mark Ruffalo turned a lot of heads in his direction when he gave us the best big-screen version of the Hulk to date, and it drew heavy fan support for a new solo film featuring the Jade Giant. Ruffalo has himself expressed interest in a solo film for the character but said that Marvel had no plans for doing such.

Now, it appears that this has changed. Ruffalo spoke with Digital Spy and said that Marvel Studios execs are now considering the possibility.

"I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it," Ruffalo said. "When we did The Avengers it was basically 'No!', and now there is some consideration for it. But there's still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut. I think the Banner/Hulk storyline is obviously not easy a tough nut to crack."

When asked about a possible team-up movie, he aded, "If they do Iron Man 4 and Banner's in that, that would be great."

We'll next see Ruffalo as Banner in The Avengers 2, which releases on May 1st, 2015.
