Possible Details On Star Wars: Episode VII's Villains (POTENTIAL SPOILERS)
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.17.2014

Making Star Wars reports that a new rumor suggests that Lupita Nyong'o, Adam Driver and David Oyelowo will play the villains in Star Wars: Episode VII. According to the rumors, the three will be Jedi Hunters. Oyelowo has also been rumored to be playing an unknown role on the animated Star Wars Rebels TV series, which is set between the two trilogies (prequel and original).

The source said: "The villains are said to be characterized by black and chrome with troopers in similar black and chrome uniforms. Imperial, but very new."

The Jedi Hunters are said to be the reason that there isn't a New Republic after the events of Return of the Jedi, even though thirty years have passed. Another source claims they are worshipers of the Sith and want to bring them back. Their goal is said to be to "protect the Sith at all costs and insure their survival." It claims that Star Wars: Episode VIII will feature an "outnumbered, tired and in need of help" Luke Skywalker, who has spent the last three decades trying to stop the Sith from coming back.

While the report suggests that Oyelowo will play the Imperial Inquisitor in Rebels, The Force said that he will be voicing Imperial Agent Kallus.

As always, nothing is official yet so this should all be considered nothing more than rumors for now. The film arrives on December 18, 2015.
