Kevin Durand Joins Vikings Season Three

History has announced three new castings today for the upcoming third season of Vikings. The network has announced that Lothaire Bluteau (The Tudors) will play Emperor Charles of France, Kevin Durand (The Strain) will play "The Wanderer," a mysterious man who is not what he seems, and Morgane Polanski (The Ghost) will play Princess Gisla, the elegant, self-possessed daughter of Emperoz Charles and his most trusted advisor. The three join Ben Robson as new cast members; Robson will play Kalf, Lagertha's trusted second-in-command.
The series has been quite the hit for the History Channel is its first foray into regular scripted television. The series centers on Ragnar Lothbrok, a restless warrior and family man who longs to find and conquer new lands across the seas and claim the spoils as his own. The series portrays life in the Dark Ages, a world ruled by raiders and explorers, through the eyes of Viking society.
