More Details on Harrison Ford’s Injury on the Set of Star Wars: Episode VII
Posted by Larry Csonka on 06.19.2014

Last week it was reported that Harrison Ford was injured on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. It was announced that he would miss eight weeks of filming due to the injury.

The BBC notes that it was originally reported that Ford had injured his ankle during the incident, but he actually broke his leg when a door fell on him during shooting of a sequence. A publicist offered the following update on Ford's recovery…

"His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."

Ford's injury is not expected to change the release date for Star Wars: Episode VII, which is set for December 18th, 2015.
