The film arrives next May...
Mad Max: Fury Road is now on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, which features an interview with the cast and crew. Here are highlights:
Tom Hardy on shooting the film in the desert of Namibia: "It was mental in a brilliant way. You have no concrete, no coffee shops. We were in the middle of a sandpit."
Director George Miller on his vision to reboot the franchise: "I wanted to tell a linear story–a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes. In this crucible of very intense action, the characters are revealed."
The film doesn't have very many digital effects and according to Miller, not a lot of dialogue. Miller also said that he came up with the idea in 2000 but it took over a decade to get it made. Fury Road stars Tom Hardy as "Mad" Max Rockatansky (taking over for Mel Gibson) and Charlize Theron plays Imperator Furiosa. The film will be released in May 2015.
