Harrison Ford's Leg Break Could Delay Star Wars: Episode VII
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.27.2014

While previous reports and the official word have Harrison Ford out eight weeks after breaking his leg on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII, one report says he could be out longer. AICN claims that Ford's recovery from his injury, which happened when a door fell on his leg, could take as long as six months and that the film could be delayed as a result.

The reason for the potential delay is that much of the film reportedly focuses on Solo. As a result, Disney and J.J. Abrams may be forced to put a halt to shooting until Ford can get back to work. The report adds that there was an "emergency meeting" at Pinewood Studios in London to assess whether they could make their December 18th, 2015 release date.

No comment as of yet from Disney, but they are expected to issue a response soon.
