Michael Bay Responds to Critics of His Transformers Movies
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 06.29.2014

Speaking to MTV (via NME), director Michael Bay responded to critics of Transformers: Age of Extinction. The film was No. 1 at the box office this weekend, grossing an estimated $100 million. The Transformers movies, all of which were directed by Bay, have long received poor film reviews but done very well at the box office.

Bay said on the critics of the film, "They love to hate, and I don't care; let them hate. They're still going to see the movie! I think it's good to get a little tension. Very good."

He added, "I used to get bothered by it, but I think it's good to get the dialogue going. It makes me think, and it keeps me on my toes, so it's good."
