Stephen Amell shuts down the rumors…
UPDATE: In a post on his official Facebook page, actor Stephen Amell denied any speculation that he would be playing the role of Arrow/Oliver Queen in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film. You can read his Facebook post below.
ORIGINAL: Stephen Amell says he's going to be a busy guy at Comic-Con this year. The Arrow star teased some major announcements for him at the upcoming convention, which takes place later this month. Amell posted to his Facebook and said the following:
You know I'm going to be at San Diego Comic-Con International this year, but you have no idea what I'm going to be doing. The Arrow panel on Friday evening is the literal tip of the iceberg. Feel free to speculate. There are (at least) 3 more things on my schedule. Big things. Needless to say, I plan on winning Comic-Con this year. Captain Style.
He added, Heading to a new city this September to meet some friends. Announcement is coming Tuesday.
It is likely that the Tuesday announcement will have to do with his appearance in the pilot for The Flash. As to the big plans, it's anyone's guess but there are several possibilities, not the least of which is the chance that the CW TV Shows may be tied into the DC Cinematic Universe. That would (and this is speculation, there is nothing confirmed) allow Amell to appear in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and/or Justice League.
We'll now more when SDCC goes down of course, which is July 24th through the 27th.
