Harry Potter Spin-Off to Shoot in London Facility
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 07.04.2014

Warner Bros. is going back to the home of the Harry Potter films to shoot its spin-off. THR reports that the studio will shoot Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden facility outside of London, which is where all the Potter films were lensed. The announcement was made by U.K. culture secretary Sajid Javid and confirmed by the studio.

The film is based on a companion book written by J.K. Rowling for the Potter series and features explorer Newt Scamander. It is set in 1920s New York and will feature both American and British spell-slingers. Rowling is writing the script, her first time doing so. It releases as the first part of an expected trilogy in November of 2016.
