Lucasfilm Announces Two New Actors Cast for Star Wars: Episode VII
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 07.06.2014

Lucasfilm has officially announced two new actors joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII with Crystal Clarke and Pip Anderson.

Clarke and Anderson the cast including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie.

Clarke and Anderson were cast from Lucasfilm and Disney's open casting call for the film, which took place across 11 cities in the US and UK. You can check out a Spider-Man ad for Sony that Anderson appeared in below.

Speaking on the announcement, producer and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy commented: "The Star Wars universe has always been about discovering and nurturing young talent and in casting Episode VII we wanted to remain absolutely faithful to this tradition. We are delighted that so many travelled to see us at the open casting calls and that we have been able to make Crystal and Pip a part of the film."

Principal photography for the film continues at Pinewood Studios in London after finishing production in Abu Dhabi last May. The production will take a brief two-week hiatus to make adjustments on the production schedule due injured actor Harrison Ford recovering from a broken leg injury. Lucasfilm says Ford is doing well and production will resume soon.

Star Wars: Episode VII is due out on December 18, 2015.
