New Promo For Star Wars Rebels Reveals Agent Kallus
Posted by Joseph Lee on 07.10.2014

Hero Complex has revealed a new video which introduces of The Inquistor's right hand man Agent Kallus from Star Wars Rebels. David Oyelowo (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Lee Daniels' The Butler, Lincoln) will voice the "Rebel hunter". Kallus works for the Imperial Security Bureau, which according to executive producer Dave Filoni is a combination of the FBI and military police. He has two large sideburns down the side of his face.

Filoni said: "We definitely wanted to capture that '70s feeling that was so strong in ‘A New Hope'. Art director Kilian Plunkett and I looked at a lot of reference to try and make that influence fit into ‘Rebels.' At one point we had [Rebel pilot] Zeb in bell bottoms."

When asked about the sideburns, Filoni replied: "I'm hoping to see some people sporting that look at Comic-Con next year."

Finally, he also commented on Oyelowo's casting. He added: "We actually had David read for several different parts. We knew we wanted to use him, but weren't quite sure where."

Oyelowo, meanwhile, joked about the reaction from his kids. He said: "I wish I had that when I was going off to film a scene in ‘The Butler' or something in ‘Lincoln'. But no. ‘Star Wars Rebels' gets the big scream."
